This is better than a simple rain sensor because it senses the actual soil moisture to ensure that the rain has soaked in before skipping the watering cycle. The handy dial on the AquaSentry allows you to set the moisture level where the device tells Raincloud to stop watering because your vegetables may require more water than your shrubbery.
